Marauder Jamal Adams allegedly broke the bank in Seattle according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports. The former Jets would have accepted a four-season contract that will earn him 70 million, a bonus of 20 million and 38 million guaranteed.

Adams was named to the 2019 First All-Star Team in addition to participating au Pro Bowl in the last three seasons. Last year, he set the record for most quarterback sacks for a defensive back at 9.5. His sack harvest led the Seahawks along with his 14 tackles for a loss and 30 presses on the quarterback. No other defensive back has surpassed 16 presses on the quarterback last year.

The all-star player hit his stats despite missing four games and playing despite injuries to both shoulders including a tear in the labrum that required surgery, as well as two broken fingers and hyperextension of an elbow.

The old 6e overall pick in 2017 was traded from the Jets to the Seahawks in July 2020 for marauder Bradley McDougald, two first-round picks and one third-round pick.
