Last Wednesday in the city of Pergamino with the presence of Gustavo Ciuffo, president of the Pergaminense Basketball Association (APB), Martín Vercelli and Eduardo López, president and secretary of the San Nicolás Basketball Association (ANSN), and Marcelo Turcato, president of the Rosarina Basketball Association (ARBB), a new meeting was held whose objective was to finalize details for the presentation of the CAB 1 Sports Region, a competition supervised by the Argentine Basketball Confederation and organized jointly between the entities mentioned and by the Junín and Chivilcoy Associations absent on this occasion due to agenda issues.
This construction of a common basketball zoning competitions, interacting with neighboring towns and provinces, making the clubs participate in a great unique basketball pole is what is intended to be carried out with this Sports Region. The competitions will include First Division and Sub 17 in both the Male and Female branches and the rest of the Divisions will also be announced shortly.
The contests will begin during the first week of September and will end in mid-December. In the case of the First Division, these tournaments will grant places for the Federal Tournament and classification to the Club Nationals in the training divisions.
CAB supports this initiative and in fact reacted positively when the draft was presented months ago. Since then, all the actors have worked side by side to shape this new sporting concept.
