MATCH DAY! Elfsborg last hurdle Feyenoord for group stage ECL

Feyenoord hopes to take a big step towards the group stage of the Conference League against IF Elfsborg today. The opponent has been working for years in Sweden and has clearly found the way up: last season Elfsborg finished second in the league and the club does not see that as an outlier, but as the start on the way to a national championship.

The strength of the opponent is difficult to estimate, but the Dutch competition is seen as stronger than that from Sweden. At the moment, Elfsborg takes place 588 in the European ranking, which makes sense for a club under construction after previous lean years, while Feyenoord takes place 66. Tonight we will see if the power difference that the European ranking shows is also reflected on the field.
