Lego Marvel Super Heroes – You will meet these unknown characters in the game

The list of characters in the Marvel Universe is almost infinite. And almost any of them can be unlocked in the game Lego Marvel Super Heroes. In line with the upcoming release of the eight-year-old Lego fun on the Nintendo Switch, we took a closer look at the character list and today we are introducing you to some of the bizarre and probably also the most unknown characters in the Marvel universe. You can also find out here how you can unlock the interesting supporting characters from the Marvel universe in the game.

Meet Captain Britain in Lego Marvel Super Heroes

Yes you read that right. What sounds like a Wish version of Captain America is the true guardian of law and order in the UK. Captain Britain aka Brian Braddock made his comic debut in October 1976 in the first issue of Captain Britain Weekly. And although the hero of the British was initially only intended for the British comic market, in the course of time he also made it into the US comics.

Let’s now briefly come to the backstory of Captain Britain. Brian Braddock is a calm and reserved young man who works in a nuclear research center. When the latter is attacked one day by Joshua Stragg, aka The Reaver, Brian just manages to escape on his motorcycle. Brian, injured after an accident, is found by none other than the famous magician Merlyn and his daughter Roma.

They enable Brian to be a superhero and offer him either the sword of power or the amulet of law. Brian chooses the amulet and becomes Captain Britain, the guardian of law and order. His superpowers include super strength and speed, exceptionally good perception and the ability to fly. In addition, he comes into possession of a telescopic staff, which allows him to conjure up an energy field. One of his greatest successes in the Marvel Universe was fighting a large neo-Nazi group, along with Captain America and Nick Fury. To unlock Captain Britain in Lego Marvel Super Heroes, you have to complete three missions from him in New York City.

Next up with a villain

The next on my list of little-known Marvel characters is the villain Bullseye. Daredevil’s hit man and archenemy never had an easy life as a villain without superpowers. The all-black villain made his comic debut in issue 131 of Daredevil in March 1976.

The adversary, suffering from personality disorders, never really had it easy from the start. After conflicts at home, Lester ended up in the children’s home, where he began to play baseball, among other things. Already there he and the people around him noticed his extraordinary accuracy. However, he also struggled with appropriately venting his aggression. So that one day, during a baseball game, he threw the baseball so exactly in the face of a boy from the other team in anger, killing the boy. Lester’s only comment on this was “Bullseye”.

Over time, Bullseye killed numerous people, including his own father. But he kept biting his teeth on Daredevil. Fun fact, in one comic book, Bullseye actually used a failed tooth as a projectile. In addition to his extremely good physique, his skills include his ability to turn anything into a deadly projectile. In my opinion, Bullseye would be an excellent dart player! To unlock Bullseye in Lego Marvel Super Heroes, you have to find his token in the Slums District.

As always, the best comes at the end

I’ll tell you what it is: For last, I’ve saved one of my all-time favorite heroines from the Marvel universe. Look forward to none other than Doreen Green, aka Squirrel Girl. The girl with the squirrel tail is unknown and cult at the same time. The squirrel whisperer first appeared in the eighth edition of Marvel Super Heroes in 1990.

Since 2015 she has been the main protagonist in the comic series “Unbeatable Squirrel Girl” by author Ryan North. Anyone who thinks that their sharp claws and teeth, their bushy prehensile tail and their ability to communicate with squirrels are useless is mistaken. Among other things, she and her squirrel Monkey Joe Iron Man helped Dr. Defeat Doom.

Squirrel Girl also took on other powerful super villains like Thanos or Galactus in the comics. I’ll tell you what it is: I really hope for her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! To unlock her in the game Lego Marvel Super Heroes, you have to find her token in the Dockyard.

Now it’s your turn! Tell us your favorite heroes, or villains, from the Marvel universe! Maybe there are also one or the other that we haven’t heard from yet. Lego Marvel Super Heroes will be released on October 7, 2021 with DLC for the Nintendo Switch.
