On Wednesday, August 18, a draw for the Latvian Basketball Užava Cup took place in the premises of the Latvian Basketball Union. 21 teams from three Latvian leagues will take part in the tournament, which resumes after a break of 27 years. The winners of the Cup are expected to be determined in the final game in February.
Užava Brewery has become the general sponsor of the Latvian Cup.

Taking into account the sporting and geographical aspects, the teams were divided into several baskets before the draw and will be involved in the fight for the cup at different stages. In all stages up to and including the semi-finals, the winners will be determined in the sum of two games, the first games will take place on the squares of the teams listed first in the table.
The opening game will take place on September 17 in Tukums, where BC “Tukums” / TSS team will visit BC “Saldus”. The final game is scheduled for February.
