This is the sixth time this year that Ruiz has hit at least two home runs in the same game, including a three-homer round on July 23. No matter where he’s played, Ruiz has taken down Triple-A pitching.
In 69 games this season, Ruiz has offensive numbers of .313 / .377 / .632 with 21 homers, tied with fellow Venezuelan Carlos Pérez for the most homers among Triple-A receivers.
