1. Despite trying to play loose, the tension and burden of being the only representative in the Tokyo Olympic badminton final still accompanies. How are you feeling ahead of the final?

There will definitely be a burden, so Apri and I didn’t really think about it too much. We have a sense of tension too, have feelings nervous. But it’s good for us so that the adrenaline is maintained to compete in the final. Instead, it benefits us so that we stay focused until the end.

2. After the Olympic champion, what is the first thing that comes to mind?

For me, I might think that every time I compete in women’s doubles, I’m really tired. We always put out extraordinary energy, a lot of energy that we spent.

So, I didn’t think about winning the Olympics, but I’m grateful that the match was over and we won. We are in a winning position and that’s all I really think about when I’m in a position shuttlecock go out. It’s finally over, no need to play too long. finished like that his job and we are in a winning position.

That’s what made me and Apri excited, laughing. But five minutes later we realized it was the Olympics. So Koh Didi [Eng Hian] come. So like mixed feeling, can cry, laugh again, extraordinary emotion.

3. So far, women’s doubles have always been considered less competitive than other numbers that are more favored. How do you see that?

Maybe if I could tell you about my experience, it’s common that women’s doubles are always the target, but that’s normal because we haven’t had any great achievements yet.

From 2012 to 2014 we were able to score achievements, there are breakthrough [emas Asian Games dan perunggu Kejuaraan Dunia 2015], but it can not be said women’s doubles as a sector that can be relied on at all.

But whose names are used to us being seconded, I didn’t think we were seconded. Me and the coach and Titun [Nitya Krishinda Maheswari], and friends [ganda putri], April too, we just think how to achieve the highest possible achievement, as much as possible. About being second, it even scourges us to achieve even more.

4. When did you first know there was a badminton player named Apriyani Rahayu?

When I saw Apri for the first time at the 2016 National Championship, at that time we played in Solo. I played in the National Championship with Jaya Raya. Before playing, we usually watch junior first.

I saw Apri and Jauza [Fadhila Sugiarto] compete against the Djarum team, if I’m not mistaken Ribka/Ana or someone else.

From there I began to know Apri, that there is a badminton player named Apriyani Rahayu. Eh, did not know 2017 he entered the national training. So a month after the National Championship, he entered the national training.
