Hidalgo third in the Federated Olympiad – El Sol de Tulancingo

Hidalgo’s teams obtained third places in the final phase of the Federated National Basketball Olympiad, which was held in Mexico City.

The board of the Hidalgo Basketball Association carried out a state selection process, in which a total of 107 teams from different clubs and leagues of the State participated.

The representatives of our State in the categories of children’s boys, girls ‘catwalks, girls’ youth, girls ‘superiors and boys’ under-21s, were eliminated in the group stage, the other 9 teams passed the group stage accessing the quarterfinals in which stage The men’s cadet and women’s cadet categories were eliminated, accessing seven teams to the semifinals.

The men’s micro team, directed by Roberto Maya, obtained fourth place, the women’s micro teams, directed by Héctor Baltazar Gress González; feminine infantile, directed by David Maya; the men’s catwalk headed by César Cerón Ortiz and the women’s under-21 headed by Jorge Beltrán obtained third place in their respective category and branch.

In the men’s youth category, where there was the highest participation with 41 participating teams, the representative of Hidalgo obtained the sub-championship, by overcoming the group round undefeated.

He beat Tamaulipas in the round of 16, Zacatecas in the quarterfinals, in the semifinal he defeated Baja California Norte and succumbed in the grand final with the representative of Chihuahua, the selection was led by David Quiterio Mendoza and Arturo Delgado Mejía.
