The regional run archery championship of the junior and minimal categories was organized by Guilers. Mathéo and Méline Périou took part in it on Sunday, August 29, on behalf of the Compagnie d’Arc de Plougasnou.
Like biathlon, Run Archery is a combined discipline. Each participant sets off with his bow in his hand over a course of about 1 km, at the end of which he will have to shoot four arrows standing up to hit as many targets. A missed shot imposes a penalty round of 150 m. The runner sets off again for a new loop, then makes a second shot on his knees. After a third phase of running and shooting again standing, it remains to run a short distance to cross the finish line.
