The Derincespor Club, which was established with the aim of raising successful athletes in amateur branches, receives training from 3,525 athletes.
Under the management of Derince Mayor Zeki Aygün, very important steps are being taken both in terms of sports success and in terms of establishment in the district, where investments in youth and sports are realized. In Derince, which is successfully represented in professional leagues with the Belediye Derincespor Club, a new club was established that will make an impact in amateur branches. Derince Municipality, which helps amateur sports clubs in the district in every way, has activated Derincespor, which will reveal the potential in the region. Derincespor Club, headed by the Deputy Mayor of Derince, Kemal Bayraktar, was registered and received the right to name.
In addition to President Bayraktar, Şaban Eraslan, Işıl Bozca, Tunahan Berber, Mustafa Polat, Osman Cömert and Nurten Yılmaz are on the board of directors of Derincespor Club, the new representative of the district, which started its activities under the presidency of Kemal Bayraktar. Derincespor Club, whose colors are determined as yellow and dark blue and will operate in 18 branches, will provide training only in football schools in the football category. Derincespor Club also includes branches of volleyball, basketball, tennis, swimming, karate, taekwondo, gymnastics, kickboxing, women’s football, boxing, athletics, table tennis, traditional archery, chess, billiards, cycling and wushu. Derincespor Club athletes, which started their activities in twelve of the 18 branches, carry out their activities in different facilities according to the branches.
Within the scope of the ongoing training sessions at Yenikent Astroturf Facilities, Bahattin Çelik Sports Complex, Abdullah Tayyip Olçok Youth and Sports Center, Derince Municipality Indoor Swimming Pool and Martyr Er Emre Kaan Arlı Multi-Purpose Sports Hall, the club has 3,525 athletes in the first stage. The Yellow-Navy Blue team has 955 people in swimming, 220 in basketball, 140 in volleyball, 160 in karate, 260 in taekwondo, 150 in boxing, 300 in tennis, 170 in table tennis, 120 in chess, 173 in gymnastics, 32 in kickboxing, and 845 in football schools.
On the other hand, a ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 11 for the athletes studying at summer schools within the body of Derincespor Club, and participation certificates will be delivered. In addition, the Municipality Derincespor Club will open the new season on the same day.
