Former Red Devil Luc Nilis becomes head coach of SV Belisia

The former Red Devils striker Luc Nilis (54) will be head coach for the first time at merged Limburg club SV Belisia. The Bilzen club, who will play in the second division of the VVB this season, announced their arrival on Sunday.

After the end of his playing career, Nilis mainly occupied the positions of striker and assistant coach, PSV, Kasimpasa, Gençlerbirligi, KSK Hasselt, VVV-Venlo and Ankaragücü. At the end of last year, the former Red Devil (56 caps) in velvet hitting technique spent two weeks coaching forwards in Anderlecht, but no deal has been reached. Then he attended Vital Borkelmans with the Jordanian national team.

Between 1986 and 1994, Luc Nilis was the Anderlecht striker. There he won four national titles and three cups. He then enjoyed another period of success with PSV (1994-2000), after which he had to dramatically end his career with Aston Villa, with an open broken leg.
