Feyenoord start group stage with away match in Israel

Feyenoord has known the opponents in the group stage of the Conference League since Friday afternoon. The Rotterdammers were paired with Slavia Prague, FC Union Berlin and Maccabi Haifa. UEFA has also just announced the schedule for the coming months.

Feyenoord start the group stage with an away match against Maccabi Haifa. The Rotterdammers will probably have to do without Alireza Jahanbakhsh in Israel. This is because of the tense relations between Iran and Israel.

Iran forbids players to compete against athletes from Israel, but being on the same team is not a problem. Playing together with Ofir Marciano is therefore no problem at all. The away game against Maccabi Haifa is scheduled for Thursday, September 16 at 6:45 PM, but is still subject to change.

Due to an Israeli holiday, this match has not yet been officially established. More information about this will follow as soon as this date is confirmed. The dates and times of the other group matches are known.
