Basketball | Marta Morales’ Spain dominates the Netherlands and Egypt and passes as the first to the quarterfinals

Double victory yesterday for the Spanish 3×3 U-18 basketball team in the women’s category at the World Cup held in Debrecen (Hungary).

The team led by Ana Junyer, in which Marta Morales is a member of Granada, clearly dominated the Netherlands (18-7) and Egypt (20-6), reissuing the victories achieved on the opening day against Ukraine and Romania and certifying the first Group position A. Morales once again played an important role in the Hispanic victories and, especially in the match against the Egyptians, was more successful in attack than in the previous double victory.

In this way, the Spanish quartet, where Elena Buenavida, Claudia Contell and Gisela Sánchez are together with Morales, closes the first phase of the world tournament with excellent sensations. Today, starting at 12.30 pm, they will play the quarterfinals against the Latvian team, second classified in group C. If they win, they will play tomorrow the semifinals against Russia or Hungary.
