Coach D’Arrigo, welcome to the New Messina Basketball. Back to Sicily after 10 years, what are your impressions and emotions?

Returning to one’s homeland is always exciting, I have yet to have the first impressions!

What are the goals for the NPM youth sector for the 2021/2022 season?

The objectives will be of two types: the first will certainly be organizational and will concern the staff to be created and the agreements to be made with other companies. In this regard, I will try a dialogue with all the Messina companies to achieve something together with those who want. The second objective will be simply technical and will be based on the training of new players, will take time and will be a multi-year project.

What about his personal expectations?

I am excited to start a new adventure, setting up a youth sector from the base is certainly a stimulating challenge that will involve a great commitment both on and off the pitch, a journey that will last a few years begins. The mission will not be to win games immediately but to create players.

Would you like to add something in conclusion?

Yes, I wanted to thank President Caruso for the trust placed in me and Vis Reggio Calabria for what has been shared over the years.
