Back in LA, Dwight Howard tackles Ben Simmons as he leaves!

After a season spent in exile with the 76ers, Dwight Howard will find the Los Angeles air he loves so much next year. History to mark his departure, the new pivot of the Lakers wrote a message for fans and the franchise of Philadelphia, with a little scathing wink in the direction of… Ben Simmons.

At the dawn of the 2019-20 season, his reunion with the Purple & Gold environment had caused much ink to flow. In the end, they had paid off, since they had allowed him to collect his first NBA champion title. Two years later, and after an interlude at the Sixers, Dwight Howard is about to put on the legendary Lakers tunic again.

No doubt nostalgic for his life in Los Angeles, and even more for his victorious journey with the franchise, the 35-year-old pivot should find there the role of energizer out of the bench which suited him so much during his last visit. Before that, and as is customary, he took the time to send a message of thanks and farewell to Philadelphia, first paying tribute to the fans and the metropolis.

Philly. Philly. Philly. If any photo could describe my experience in Philly, this would be it. Pure love and joy. I am sad that our common adventure was so short. But I must say that I enjoyed every moment of it. You have all shown me so much love. And it has not gone unnoticed. I like You. Thank you to the city of FRATERNAL LOVE. PHILADELPHIA. ????????????. I will miss my songs with the crowd. ????????.

Then, the three-time Defender of the Year obviously focused on the members of his former team, whether they were coaches or players. The opportunity for him to drop a few words for Ben Simmons, with the allure of a slightly mocking private joke.

To my brothers. This year, we were too short (for the title). But we signed an incredible season. Thanks to all the 76ers staff. We will always remain a family. And then. Bend your kneesuuuxxxx ????????????????. #JeVeuxMaParadeBordel

An advice that the big man had to give to his leader when he was training in 3-point shooting, and trying to perfect his not really effective mechanics. Dwight certainly could not find a worse tribute to pay the Australian, before becoming his opponent again.

To suffer the mockery of Dwight Howard, and his 14 career successes, on his 3-point shot should not be a pleasure. Bad luck for Ben Simmons, since this is the treatment he has just undergone.
