Aroco, the Blue Arrows meeting in Rome

The National team is meeting in Rome, at the Giulio Onesti Coni Center. It is the first technical meeting after the Games, in preparation for the Yankton World Cup

After Mauro Nespoli’s silver and Lucilla Boari’s bronze, won at the Yumenoshima Park Archery Field in Tokyo, the blue arrows returned to work together in Rome, from 22 to 26 August, at the Giulio Onesti Coni Center. On the shooting line set up at the Acqua Acetosa there are the two archers who have written another page of successes for our archery: the Voghera Airman, reaching his third podium in 4 participations in the Games, the first individual after team silver in Beijing 2008 and team gold in London 2012; the athlete of the Fiamme Oro of Rivalta sul Mincio, after the 4th place in the team of Rio 2016, obtained in Tokyo the first female Olympic medal of the Italian archery movement. Chiara Rebagliati (Fiamme Oro), Elena Tonetta (Aeronautica Militare), Alessandro Paoli (Arcieri Iuvenilia) and Federico Musolesi (Aeronautica Militare) are also working on the shooting line set up at the Acqua Acetosa. Together with the Azzurri, the full Federal Staff is present with the technical coordinator Sante Spigarelli, the assistant of the technical coordinator Giorgio Bottio, the coaches Matteo Bisiani, Natalia Valeeva and Amedeo Tonelli, the athletic trainer Jacopo Cimmarrusti, the physiotherapist Andrea Rossi, the psychologist Manolo Cattari and the federal doctor Giorgia Michelotti.

CELEBRATIONS AND WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Japan’s feast of emotions and medals must not take away the appetite. The archery season is not over and the meeting in Rome is the first step in view of the world championship that will be held in Yankton (USA), from 19 to 29 September, where the National Compound will also be competing. This technical meeting will also allow the Federal Council, which will meet at the CPO “Giulio Onesti” on Thursday 25 August, to celebrate the two medals won in Tokyo, thanking the protagonists of this great undertaking: for the first time, Fitarco boasts two medals in one single edition of the Games. He did it with 2 of the 4 athletes on the field. It is not cheap.
