Alexander Zverev rejects new allegations from his ex-girlfriend Olya Sharypova

His lawyers had already obtained an injunction “against the source and the author”, and the competent court followed his argument, Zverev said. The world number four concluded that he did not want to comment on the matter beyond this statement on social media.

Last autumn, Scharypova had already made media allegations against Zverev about physical and psychological violence during the 13-month relationship. This week, a new media report followed allegations of further incidents of domestic violence in 2019.

The German number one hit the allegations right before the start of the US Open. At the last Grand Slam tournament of the year, which begins on Monday, Zverev is the biggest favorite after world number one Novak Djokovic. In the previous year, Zverev in New York had just missed his first major title in the final against Austrian Dominic Thiem.
