According to several tabloids, the 35-year-old English striker filed a complaint with Manchester police. He claims to have been the victim of an attempted blackmail before the publication of the pictures. However, the police have reportedly spoken to those concerned and are confident that no crime has been committed, reports the Daily Mail. The investigation is therefore suspended.
Always according to the Daily Mail, these images would not have pleased the club of Derby County, where Wayne Rooney currently occupies the post of trainer, believing that this one had to “show the example”.
