TIKA renewed the office of the Serbian Wheelchair Basketball Federation – Genel News

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) renewed the office of the Serbian Wheelchair Basketball Federation (SKKS) and provided wheelchair assistance to the athletes.

Turkey’s Ambassador to Belgrade Hami Aksoy, who attended the opening of the office, pointed out that the political relations between Serbia and Turkey are at an excellent level and said, “We also want to improve our relations in the field of culture and sports. We are experiencing the best example of this today.” said.

Emphasizing that Serbia is a successful country in sports, Aksoy said that they will continue to work to improve relations.

SKKS President Vladimir Kuzmanovic also stated that they will participate in the European Championship matches tomorrow as a team and said, “We thank TİKA for its assistance. It is extremely meaningful for us.” he said.

Explaining that the donated wheelchairs are very easy to use, Kuzmanovic noted that they are excited to compete with the new wheelchairs in tomorrow’s championship.

Meanwhile, as part of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day events, a friendly match will be held between the wheelchair women’s basketball teams of Turkey and Serbia.
