the XV of Algeria qualified for the quarter-finals of the African Cup

Thanks to his victory in his qualifying match against Uganda (16-22), this Sunday, July 18 in Kampala, the XV of Algeria obtains his ticket for the quarter-finals of the African Cup, qualifying for the World 2023 in France. The Algerians, beaten by Ghana on July 14 (20-22) were forced to win to finish in the top two of their group of three. The Ghanaians, largely dominated by Uganda on July 10 (12-53), are eliminated. Algeria will face Senegal, first in Group B, in the quarterfinals, and Uganda will face Kenya. Côte d’Ivoire and Namibia will play against Zimbabwe or Burkina Faso. The winner of the competition will be the second African representative at the 2023 World Cup, along with South Africa. The finalist will participate in a repechage tournament.
