The CaixaBank Plaza 3×3 makes its third stop in Malaga

The Plaza de la Marina in Malaga hosts the third edition of Plaza 3×3 CaixaBank 2021. A day to which 307 participants have registered and in which more than 200 matches will be played.

Malaga is preparing to live a magical week full of basketball. The third edition of the Plaza 3×3 CaixaBank will be added to the day of July 8, in which the Spanish men’s and women’s teams will play a double confrontation against France at the Martín Carpena.

With an emblematic setting such as the Plaza de la Marina in the Andalusian city, the street basketball festival continues after passing through Valencia and Castellón. In this case, 82 teams and 307 players will participate, playing more than 200 games.

The event, which will be held in strict compliance with the health protocols that will guarantee the health of participants, organizers and visitors, will begin at 10:00 am and end at 5:00 pm.

As usual, the Plaza 3×3 CaixaBank will receive a visit from FEB Ambassador Fernando Romay in the afternoon, who will once again liven up the evening with shooting and skills competitions.

The event has the support of the Malaga City Council, the Malaga Provincial Council and with the participation of a team of 25 volunteers, assigned to the FEB-CaixaBank Volunteer Program. All the information of the event can be followed through the official website.

More than 42,000 participants since 2012

The FEB launched the Plaza 3×3 program in 2012, from its first edition in conjunction with CaixaBank. The nine stops of 2019, the last that could be held, raised the figures for this street basketball promotion program to more than 42,000 participants and 200,000 visitors. A very positive balance of this emblematic program, which in its eight editions has already visited 39 cities throughout Spain.
