Saint-Girons. Olympic days at the Couserans Dojo

This year the Couserans Dojo has set up two big days dedicated to the Olympic Games in collaboration with the French Judo Federation, the departmental committee, the USEP and the CDOS.

These initiation days were offered to children from 4 to 10 years old.

Several schools in Couserans were present and brought together more than a hundred young people. The entertainment took place at the Buffelan gymnasium and the André Gaudin dojo. So that everyone can learn about the proposed activities, several groups have been organized to circulate on the various sports activities offered by the clubs present.

The Couserans Dojo has innovated by offering 6 workshops symbolizing the Olympic rings.

1. Obstacle course, 2. fall course, 3. initiation to Atemis (Ju-Jitsu percussion techniques), 4. initiation to Ne Waza (Judo on the ground, 5. initiation Tai shi Waza (standing judo), 6 initiation to randori (judo combat).

This initiative has been a great success with young people. The supervision was carried out by the technical director of the club Laurent Bonzom. A sound system was set up to contribute to the entertainment and the Couserans Dojo rewarded this youthful life by offering various gifts (books, magazines, stickers, key rings).
