The obstacle temple hosts the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris, an obstacle course horse race which is held every year in May. Scheduled for 4 p.m., six kilometers long and littered with 23 obstacles, this competition will determine the horse who will be crowned the best in this discipline in France. Thirteen competitors will try to succeed the duo composed of Rosario Baron and her jockey, Johnny Charron.
Grand Steeple-Chase of Paris: Practical information
Throughout this Sunday meeting, numerous activities await spectators, especially the little ones (pony rides, carousel rides, parade with jockeys, mini golf, treasure hunts). The gates of the Auteuil racecourse are scheduled to open at noon, one hour from the start of the first of the ten races of the meeting. You will be able to follow multiple special broadcasts throughout the event on the Equidia channel as well as on the RMC discovery channel, which is scheduled to go on air at 3:43 p.m.
Note that the PMU is offering an exceptional piggy bank of one million euros on the occasion of the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris, which will serve as support for the Quinté (the amount of the piggy bank is to be shared between all the winners of the order report of Quinté).
