Peruvian board team is heading to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games | News

The surfers Daniella Rosas, Sofía Mulanovich, Lucca Messinas and Miguel Tudela, are heading to Tokyo for their participation in the Olympic Games where there is a lot of expectation to get the desired medals.

The surfers of the Athlete Support Program (PAD) and the Vamos con Tokio Program of the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD), made a stopover in Houston, before your final destination at Tsurigasaki Surf Beach, where the competitions will be held.

The athletes belong to the Athlete Support Program (PAD) and the IPD’s Vamos con Tokio Program, programs that provide financial grants to high-performance athletes classified for the Olympic Games. from Tokyo.

The Vamos con Tokio Program of the Peruvian Institute of Sport was born in January 2020, for six months, to financially support classified athletes and those in the process of qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Due to the pandemic The Vamos con Tokio Program has stood by athletes and Para athletes for high performance for 18 months.

Vamos con Tokio delivers to athletes, an additional 40 percent in economic subsidy to what they receive from Athlete Support Program (PAD). This amount goes directly from the IPD to the athlete, quite apart from the delivery of financial subsidies to the National Sports Federations.
