Omnia restarts with his warrior: confirmed Lorenzo D’Alessandro

Omnia Basket Pavia is pleased to announce that it has renewed, for the 2021-22 sports season, the agreement with Lorenzo D’Alessandro who, therefore, will be the first reconfirmed player on the Pavia roster. Ala (198 cm for 99 kg) from Bolzano, born in 1996, Lorenzo starts playing basketball at a very young age and completes the whole process of youth at the Basketball Piani in Bolzano. At 17, aggregated to the first team, he made his debut in C2 and, in 2014, achieved promotion to C1. Following the bankruptcy of the club, he joins the under 19 group of L’Aquila Trento, where he plays alongside Diego Flaccadori and is noticed by the observers of Cento who, in the summer, bring him to Emilia. At Benedetto XIV, D’Alessandro remained for three seasons, becoming an important player for the category and captain of the group that, in 2018, marked the promotion to A2. His figures (5.8 points and 4 rebounds per race) and his defensive solidity bring him to the attention of the ambitious Paffoni Omegna. The player from Bolzano (9 points, 4.5 rebounds) becomes one of the cornerstones of coach Ghizzinardi’s roster and is also reconfirmed for the 2019-20 season, which closed at 7.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. In the summer, the Serie A sirens sound very loud and D’Alessandro very strongly wants to sign with a historic club like Juve Caserta. The crack of the Caserta association makes Lorenzo one of the most coveted free agents of autumn 2020 and Omnia Pavia puts him under contract in November until the end of the season. Having recovered the pace of the match and disposed of some ailments, D’Alessandro confirms himself as a player of great reliability and a combative nature. The final figures of the bolzanino recite 7.1 points and 2.7 rebounds in 21 games, (60.4% from two, 41.9% from three, 76.9 to free throws), noting versatility in attack (dangerous in the arc and when he goes to cut in the painted) and generosity in the defensive half. “The reconfirmation of Lollo – explains Gm Pavese Lele Caserio – was strongly supported by coach Di Bella who believes the player is able to make us take a leap in quality with his ability to play in multiple roles. In his career he has always played in teams that aimed to jump in category. D’Alessandro is recovering from end-of-season ailments and is working hard to be ready to be one of our strengths”.
