Kompany after sharing points in Eupen: “Don’t set the bar lower than last season” | Jupiler Pro League

Afterwards, Anderlecht coach Vincent Kompany gave his analysis of the match: “The result is certainly justified. We certainly had our moments where we played good football, but Eupen also had those strong moments.”

“The problem is not that we don’t get into the opponent’s penalty area, we just really have to score more goals. I can currently still stick to the start of the season, but that will stop once of course.”

Just before half time Anderlecht gave away a 0-1 lead: “I don’t want to react bitterly to that, because Eupen deserved to score too. I’m not too worried about conceding so many chances, we can do that with the quality which we have certainly solve.”

The Purple & White didn’t get off to a great start with 1 in 6: “The season is and remains a marathon, I don’t feel that we can set the bar lower with this team than last season. We have lost Nmecha and Lokonga and we are doing it now again step by step. That is the path we want to follow.”
