Guidel. The judo-club will open an early learning session at the start of the school year

At the start of the next school year, the Judo Guidel club will offer a baby judo session for 4-5 year olds, on Saturday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

“At this age, we favor an entry into the activity through play. We seek to develop general motor skills and balance while going towards opposition games”, explains Teddy Gourdin, graduate professor of judo. For three years, the coach has been working to develop the club through internships and activities. He even organized training sessions with champions, even if in recent months, it has been necessary to adapt to the various health decisions linked to the pandemic.

The next school year promises to be more serene, the club hopes to attract new recruits and pursue its initiatives. “This year, we proposed to pick up 5-6 year olds directly from the school daycare to bring them to training at the Dojo. It worked well and it suits the parents ”, adds Teddy Gourdin.

A new board was recently elected. It is made up of Vincent Argo, president, Laurent Urvoy, treasurer, and David Chemillé, secretary.
