Garin is already in the best Wimbledon of his life

Cristian Garin (20°) does not stop surprising in his participation in Wimbledon. Is that the Chilean got into the fourth round of the All England, something that a trans-Andean had not done since Fernando González in 2011.

Garín, who had never won a match at Wimbledon despite passing the qualifying round twice, got rid of Pedro Martínez, a recognized friend of his and with whom he has trained countless times. It was 6-4, 6-3, 4-6 and 6-4 to achieve his best result in London.

The Chilean was much superior to Martínez and was able to close the match in three sets, but when Garín had a break advantage in the third, the Spanish gained strength to force a fourth. With this result Martínez returns to the Top 100 at the end of the tournament, while Garín will rise to number 18, provisionally, the best of his career.
