EM 2021: Corona test for Wembley? It’s easy in London – football

Control is good, Trust is better. Even with corona tests in England …

60,000 fans are allowed to attend the semi-finals in London’s Wembley Stadium today. Every visitor has to show a negative corona test.

No problem! Anyone can get a negative result. By self-test.

Each test strip has a combination of three letters and eight numbers. I report them to the authorities via the Internet. In addition personal data (date of birth, telephone number).

On the website I only have to answer the question whether the result was positive or negative. I answer truthfully “negative”. Nobody checked it. I received a text message three minutes later confirming the result and allowing me to enter Wembley.

Apparently the English trust their compatriots more than the Germans do.
