A small 7-year-old boy died in Taiwan after falling 27 times in a judo class. His parents report negligence of their coach.
The minor was practicing a martial arts class that exceeded his physical capacity. In the middle of the session, he began to feel headaches and vomit from the brain hemorrhages that he suffered from so many blows against the tatami.
According to local media, the boy alerted the teacher about what was happening, but he did not stop the class. Finally, he was rushed to the hospital due to multiple organ failure and internal wounds.
He remained in a coma for 69 days at the health home, until his parents decided to disconnect him, according to local media NDTV.
The Prosecutor’s Office arrested the teacher, who later recovered his bail, but is being investigated because he also did not have a license to teach judo.
Practicing sports disciplines and martial arts requires the presence of an expert who knows the limits of the participants and thus avoid irreversible damage. (I)
