Meet our representatives at the Olympics

Everything is ready so that this week Costa Rican athletes begin to represent the country in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic jousts. After a year of waiting due to Covid-19, the countdown reached the last four days.

In total, Costa Rica will have 12 athletes in nine different competitions. The first to go out on track will be the cyclist Andrey Amador, he will compete at 8:00 pm on July 24, a day later Luciana Alvarado will do it in Artistic Gymnastics, Brisa Hennessy and Leilani Mcgonagle in surf, Ian Ignacio Sancho in Judo and María José Vargas in cycling. The swimmer Beatriz Padrón will do it on July 26, while her colleague Arnoldo Herrera, on the 27. The athlete Gerald Drummond will race on July 30, Andrea Vargas and Kenneth Tencio will do it on July 31, while the last to compete will be the marcher Noelia Vargas.
