Club Badminton Granada players get two silver at the U-15 and U-17 Internationals

The athletes of the Granada Badminton Club achieved great results in the Under 15 and Under 17 Internationals, held in Bulgaria.

Daniel Franco participated with the Spanish team in sub 17. In the singles he advanced to the second round, where he met Dinu Pandele, in a match that the Romanian took in three tight sets (17-21, 21-16 and 21- 19).

In the DM modality, Christian Arias and Daniel Franco had a great tournament and obtained the silver medal after winning in three intense sets in the first round against Mats Duwel and Casper Spaans (20-22, 21-15 and 21-15) , in two sets in the second round to Yavor Hristov and Georgi Kirov (21-16 and 21-18), in two other games, clearly, to Berat Ayindi and Arda Oz (21-9 and 21-14). They reached the final after a long and tense match against the Turks Burak Mert Alkaya and Furkan Sarac (21-15, 15-21 and 21-18). In the final duel they fell in two games against Anil Ulac Atan and Mirac Kantar (21-9 / 21-17), but the Andalusian couple can be very satisfied with the work done and the prestigious metal achieved.

On the other hand, Mario Rodríguez from Granada in sub 15, passed the group stage and got into the main draw, where in singles he beat local player Dimityr Nikolov in two sets in the first round (22-20 and 21-18) , but fell to Ivanov in the next round. Later, together with the Almería rider Macarena Fernández, they contested a great DX test, managing to reach the final and hang a meritorious silver medal.
