It will continue on Wednesday, September 29th, at Medi Bayreuth. Two home games in a row will follow in October: On Saturday, October 9th, Telekom Baskets Bonn will be guests of the Veilchen. A week later, another former BG trainer comes to the Sparkassen-Arena: John Patrick and the MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg compete with the Veilchen on Saturday, October 16.

The Göttingen team will only receive the German champions Alba Berlin in the second half of the season – on Sunday, April 17th. Championship candidate Bayern Munich, on the other hand, will be visiting the S-Arena in November, namely on Sunday, November 21st. The first round of the BBL Cup will be played in early October and the draw will take place on July 28th.

Whether at all and, if so, how many spectators will be admitted to the season opener against Bamberg cannot be estimated at the moment. The current corona regulation of the state of Lower Saxony is valid until mid-September. At the moment, if the incidence is below 35, with a corresponding hygiene concept, partial utilization of the arenas with spectators is permitted.

“Of course we hope that we can finally play our first home game of the 2021/22 season in front of our fans. In any case, we will offer season tickets – information on this is expected to be available by mid-August, ”says BG managing director Frank Meinertshagen. “But in the pandemic we learned that a lot can change in two months. As so often in the past few months, we ask our fans for their patience. ”
