The Catalan law enforcement officers arrested a bank robber in Barcelona who attacked branches by threatening employees with a large knife.

The man acted using an established modus operandi: he attacked bank branches in the early morning or late afternoon when there were few customers and threatened employees with a large knife, says a note from the Mossos regional police force. d’Esquadra.

In one month, the man committed five robberies in Barcelona and neighboring municipalities. Overall, he managed to steal a total of € 5,700 in cash.

The arrested is a 39-year-old Spanish citizen with no criminal record.

The thug was always dressed the same: he wore sunglasses, a baseball cap and had a backpack. After the robberies he changed quickly, which allowed him not to be discovered on descriptions of witnesses, according to which, he acted in cold blood.

After the fifth attempted robbery of one of the banks in Barcelona, ​​the police traced his path and stopped him. The man has already confessed to having committed the robberies.
