Aquasud et Garonne come alive in summer mode

Whether at the swimming pool, or on the beach of Passeligne which will take over, the little ones (and the grown-ups) will be able to play and cool off.

The municipal swimming pool in Agen has put on its summer costume. Between Saturday July 3 and Monday August 2, Aquasud will be accessible from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., every day. With a “water fun” component which takes on a new dimension this year. Alongside the beach and beach volleyball, there is a badminton court and inflatable structures placed outside and which will be accessible to all, once entry to Aquasud has been paid.

Three nocturnes (until 10 p.m.) also complete the offer on July 8 and 22, as well as a last one on August 26. The first will be a treasure hunt for which you must register (price: 4.55 euros, information on 05 53 48 03 79). Garonne beach, opposite Passeligne, will take over from the swimming pool when the latter is closed for its annual emptying. Activities and swimming will be free this time, except during the Garonne en fête event, which returns on August 21.

Swimming lessons

The other summer component will be the attention paid to learning to swim. This summer, children in summer camps will be offered an assessment and lessons, which have become essential since the pandemic closed the pools and prohibited small swimmers from jumping into the water. A proactive policy that will be reinforced from the start of the school year. Lifeguards will supervise the little ones.

“This is a strong signal, the main mission of the municipal swimming pool must be a place of learning and relaxation for families”, concluded Alain Klajman, Assistant for Sport.
