Bayo could not really continue with the Scottish superpower, but last season he was good for 13 goals and 4 assists on loan at the French Toulouse. Bayo is said to be fast, agile and strong on the ball. He is therefore seen as the replacement for Roman Yaremchuk, with whom Ghent concluded an agreement about a departure this summer. Vakoun Bayo signed a 4-year contract in the Ghelamco Arena.
“Vakoun is a fast and agile striker who is very strong offensively. He is a player who will offer our coach many opportunities up front,” said sporting director Tim Matthys.
