Weightlifting quotas are confirmed and Ecuador already has 38 athletes classified in Tokyo 2021

The Ecuadorian Olympic Committee (COE) confirmed, this June 11, 2021, that the country already has 38 athletes classified to the Tokyo Olympics.

“There are already 38 classified, the same number of athletes from Rio 2016, and we are going for a record number …”, published the organization on its social networks.

This June 11, the International Weightlifting Federation ratified the four quotas of Ecuador, in its feminine branch. Thus, weightlifters Alexandra escobar (59 Kg.) Angie Palacios (64), Neisi Dajomes (76) and Tamara salazar (87) will compete for the country in Tokyo.

They were classified by their location in the ranking.
