Max Verstappen (Red Bull) won his third race of the year after winning the French Formula 1 Grand Prix, which was held at the Circuit Paul Ricard. Thus, the Dutch driver is even more the leader of the World Championship and now takes 12 points to the second-placed Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), who finished second yesterday. The other Red Bull, Sergio Pérez, completed the podium in a circuit, in theory, more suitable for the Mercedes team. On the other hand, Fernando Alonso (Alpine) finished in eighth place after coming out ninth. Things got worse for Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), who after starting fifth saw his tires play a bad pass and was rarely overtaken by Stroll to finish off the points.

French GP classification: 1. Max Verstappen (Red Bull), 1: 27: 26.350; 2. Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) at 2,904; 3. Sergio Pérez (Red Bull) at 8,811; 4. Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) at 14. 618; 8. Fernando Alonso (Alpine) at 1: 17,695; 11. Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) at 1: 39.337.
