Towards a classic program in 2021-2022

COVID-19 has turned the NBA calendar upside down, like that of all major sports championships, last year. With a four-month break and a summer recovery in the Disney bubble. Since then, everything was shifted. Franchises resumed last December and the finals are scheduled for next July.

The league was reluctant to keep this program in order to avoid finding itself in competition with the NFL. But this idea never really convinced the players or the public. Suddenly, the traditional calendar will be adopted again for 2021-2022.

According to The Athletic, the next NBA season will therefore begin on October 19. The teams will have already resumed training on September 28, at least 68 days after the possible Game 7 of the 2021 finals. The All-Star Game will be held from February 20 to 22 in Cleveland while the playoffs will begin April 16 for finals on June 2 and a draft scheduled for June 23.

On the other hand, the NBA is not yet certain to maintain the play in next season.
