The Titans get along with a wrestler

Wrestler Adam Coon may not have made it through his discipline for the Tokyo Olympics, but instead he got the call from the Tennessee Titans.

The 26-year-old signed a contract with the NFL team on Friday and will most likely play in the guard position on the offensive line.

Last month, he tried his luck for the 2021 Games at a last-ditch tournament in Bulgaria, but was unable to secure his ticket to Japan.

Coon, a three-time best wrestler in the NCAA with the University of Michigan, has not played football since 2013. In 2012, he was still named to the Michigan State team while he was playing at Fowlerville High School.

At 6’5 ” and nearly 300 lbs, Coon has the physique for the job. He notably won gold and silver medals at the Pan American wrestling championships and was 116-15 during his college career.

He will now try to find his place among the titans offensive squad, which ranked 15th in the NFL last season.
