The Playoffs – Bobby McCain Signs One-Year Contract with Washington Football Team » The Playoffs

Washington Football Team continues to add reinforcements to its defense. Bobby McCain signed a one-year deal with the franchise this Friday (14), the player’s agent told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

McCain was selected in the fifth round of the 2015 Draft by the Miami Dolphins, where he played for six years. He played four seasons as cornerback before transitioning to safety in 2019. Last season, he started 15 games, totaling 46 tackles and an interception.

In addition to the veteran experience, the defender adds versatility to the secondary of head coach Ron Rivera, who has been making moves to strengthen it. Washington selected cornerback Benjamin St-Juste and safety Darrick Forrest in the 2021 Draft and last week also signed veteran William Jackson III, with McCain being the latest addition to the roster.
