The next generation of archery

Sunday June 6, Emilie Morettin from the top of her 15 1/2 years, licensed at the Flèche Gasconne club in L’Isle-Jourdain, was sworn in as a young referee.

Thanks to the training provided by the departmental head of referees from Gers, Francis Colombo, Émilie successfully passed this exam in Cahors. Follow for the same training for 2021-2022, Maëlys Dumont of the club of Save (Samatan), and Guillem Iza of Arc’Magnac (Saint Martin).

Nice recovery for the clubs thanks to this youth! Because to be able to organize an official competition, the federation imposes a minimum referee in the club.

The resumption of archers and some competitions are currently going very smoothly, the president of the Departmental Committee of Gers of Archery (CDTA 32), Dominique Cadeillan hopes that at the start of September, the Gers clubs will increase the number of license holders and be able to send their best arrows into the “Yellow”.

The Departmental Committee will be present during both events, first the “Olympic Day” and then the one organized by the Departmental Council at Lake Gimone.

To be continued in the columns of the Journal du Gers.
