The Javelin Museum wins competitions in the Czech Republic; Chaksam third place in Finland / Article

Latvian javelin thrower Līna Mūze won the competition in the Czech Republic on Tuesday, but Gatis Čakšs was third in the matches in Finland.

In his best attempt at the track and field competition, Kladno sent a spear at a distance of 62.17 meters. Her other five shots did not reach the 60-meter mark (50.11 – 53.83 – 53.34 – 57.86 – 62.17 – 57.81).

Second place winner Dika van Joana from the Republic of South Africa (South Africa) set a personal record with a 61.19 meter long shot, while Lithuanian third-placed Liveta Jasjunaite spear-fired 59.09 meters and showed her best result this season.

Meanwhile, Chaksh won the third place in Orimatila with a broadcast of 84.72 meters. He exceeded the limit of 80 meters three times (79.68 – 84.72 – 82.36 – 80.94 – x – x).

Rolands Štrobinders was in the sixth place with a 79.56 meter long throw (79.56 – 78.07 – 79.44 – x – x – 75.83).

The laurels of victory were won by the pole Marcins Krukovskis, whose javelin struck against the 86.52 meter mark, but the second with the 85.03 meter long program was the Finn Toni Kūsela.

Eight javelin throwers took part in both competitions in the Czech Republic and matches in Finland.

Mūze and Čakšs are the only Latvian javelin throwers who have fulfilled the regulations of the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.
