Tecomán organizes for the fifth year the National Basketball Tournament EBT Cup 2021 – The Commentary

For the fifth year Tecoman will be the headquarters of National Basketball Tournament EBT Cup 2021 which will have the participation of 128 teams (1,600 players), from different parts of the country that will be divided into 2 etapas to avoid conglomeration and encompass 6 categories.

At a press conference, led by the State Tourism Secretariat, Maria Luisa Íñiguez Méndez, the director of the Colimense Institute of Sports, Ciria Salazar; the tournament director Pedro Huerta Ramirez, the tourism delegate in Tecomán and Armería, Miguel Barbosa Ramos as well as the director of the Municipal Sports Institute, Leobardo Valenzuela Verduzco, the tournament was announced, which is consolidated as a benchmark for basketball in the region.

Pedro Huerta Ramirez, general director of the Copa EBT, said that due to a pandemic measure, the event will be in 2 etapas, the first of 24 al June 27th, with the categories: micro (6,7 and 8 years old) childish (9, 10 and 11 years old) and juvenile minor (12, 13 and 14 years old); the second stage of 15 al July 18 with categories older juvenile, free Y maxi basketball, both contemplated with 64 teams coming from Jalisco, Michoacan, Aguascalientes, Mexico City Y Colima.
