Barbora Krejcikova , 25 years and 33 in the world managed to prevail in a duel of limits, and beating a match ball, Maria Sakkari by 7-5, 4-6 and 9-7 after three hours and 18 minutes. Schedule and where to see Nadal-Djokovic

Paris will choose a rookie champion as none of the four tennis players who played in the semifinals had made it that far in a Grand Slam tournament. Pavlyuchenkova had never made it past the quarterfinals of any greats until this magical week in Paris. Even fewer rounds had Krejcikova passed, as the round of 16 at Roland Garros 2020 was the furthest she had come, not even qualifying for the final draw at Wimbledon or the US Open.
