Led by double European champion Illia Kowtun, Ukraine won the team all-around title for the second time after 2020 at the European Gymnastics Championships in Rimini, Italy. The 20-year-old Kowtun laid the foundation for success with 15.870 points on the parallel bars.

Ukraine won with 255.762 points ahead of Great Britain (255.429) and defending champion Italy (252.560). The German team missed the final of the best eight teams by finishing ninth in the qualification by 0.1 points compared to Cyprus.

The day before, Kowtun had confidently defended his title on the parallel bars with 15.266 points. The 20-year-old is one of the biggest challengers to parallel bars world champion Lukas Dauser at the Olympic Games in Paris this summer. The Unterhachinger was missing from the European Championships in Rimini due to a viral infection. In addition to the title on parallel bars, Kowtun also won gold on the high bar with 14,600 points and was the most successful gymnast in the title competitions with three gold medals.
