As he had been on vacation in Europe, Beltrán must remain in quarantine for 14 days to be allowed to join with his companions. The 20-year-old footballer could be heading into preseason next weekend.

This Saturday around noon the River Plate team landed in the United States, a place chosen by the coaching staff headed by Marcelo Gallardo to carry out the preseason for a semester in which the team will face multiple challenges. However, in the middle of the trip, the delegation lost one of its members: a footballer was dropped on the scale in Lima because he did not comply with the established protocols to enter the North American country.

As soon as he arrived at his destination, The members of the millionaire delegation received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine against the coronavirus before leaving the airport. In this way, the immunization of all those who traveled to carry out the preseason on North American soil was fulfilled.

“The team arrived this afternoon in Orlando, where All the players, members of the coaching staff and collaborators received the Covid-19 vaccine. Lucas Beltrán will join his teammates in the coming days, ”the Núñez club reported in an official statement published on its social networks on Saturday afternoon.

River is staying in North American territory in the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center and is based on the ESPN Wide World, the sports complex owned by the American television network and which in 2020 housed the NBA “bubble” to carry out its playoffs. Gallardo’s idea is to be able to play three friendly matches: one against America de Cali from Colombia (Sunday June 27) and two against Barcelona of Ecuador (Wednesday June 30 and Sunday July 4), one of the surprises in the current edition of the Copa Libertadores.

After the loss of Beltrán, there are 26 footballers who have traveled for the preseason.
