The 2021 World Veteran Judo and Kata Championships will be held in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, from October 21 to 24 for veterans and from October 26 to 27 for kata.
Mr. Jorge Fernandes stated,
“We are very happy to have the opportunity to welcome our friends from all over the world. This year we successfully organized the European Championship. With the Veteran Worlds and Kata, we go to another level. With this event we want to show the judo community that there are many different ways to practice judo. In 2021 Lisbon was designated the European Capital of Sport. Unfortunately, the event had to be canceled several times in recent months, but today we believe that we are ready to host it and we will. We have many Portuguese athletes who perform in both categories. It will be a fantastic opportunity for them, to compete at home ”.
