A Chris Paul has never been lucky enough to make the playoffs and still hasn’t. The point guard, who has led the Suns to the final of the Western Conference, has entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols for the coronavirus and being absent for an indefinite period of time.

In other seasons, when his teams had aspirations to go far, his own injuries or those of others prevented him from reaching a ring that he does not yet have and that maintains him as one of the best bases in history who did not achieve a title.

Paul is doubtful for the start of the tie to measure Phoenix with the winner of the series between the Jazz and the Clippers, which is tied 2-2. If there is a seventh meeting, it will be next Sunday.

The longer it lasts, the better for the Suns point guard, who has already been vaccinated. The time Paul will be away from activity should be shorter than what was foreseen in the League’s health protocols at the start of the season.

Paul, at 36, is averaging 15.7 points, 8.7 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game in the playoffs. And that with extraordinary percentages of 50.9% in field goals, 44.4% in triples and 91.2% in free throws. He was one of the architects of the great regular season for the Suns and finished fifth in the MVP vote.
