Through the formation of a professional coaching structure, Vorarlberg athletes could be brought to the top international and successes came with winning several titles and placements at the Austrian championships, as well as very good placements at European and world championships. Reaching third place in the 1st Judo Bundesliga in 2004 was the greatest team success of the ULZ Vorarlberg.
Since leaving the Bundesliga in 2010, the main focus has been on youth development and the promotion of high-performing young athletes. This is intended to lay the foundation for the coming years.
The ULZ Vorarlberg supports high-performance judo talents from across the country in central training units in order to enable young people not only to promote technical development but also to make a smooth transition to competitive sport.
